28th session of the Council of Competition - Press release

SARAJEVO, May 18, 2006.-The Council of Competition in its 28th session has published an opinion that a Decree on Subsidies for the Public Transportation Charges within the Sarajevo Canton area, issued by the Ministry for Labour, Social Affairs and Displaced Person of Sarajevo Canton, hasn`t been harmonized with the Competition Act and that it comprises regulations which may significantly prejudice the market competition.

Also, the Council of Competition has given an opinion, concerning the request of the State Electricity Regulatory Comission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that the Draft Plan on the Volume, Conditions and Timetable for opening the electric power market in Bosnia and Herzegovina is compatible with the regulations of the Competition Act.
