2^nd Session of Bosnia and Herzegovina Council of Competition

PRESS RELEASE

Second session of the second assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Council of Competition was held in Sarajevo on 13 October 2010 with following documents adopted:

- Decision on assessment of concentration between the undertakings: „Heinzel Holding GmbH“ Vienna and „Europapir AG“ Vienna.

Taking into consideration all the facts and data stated prior to the adoption of the Decision, Council of Competition assessed the concentration compatible on the market of wholesale of fine paper in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the decision making, Council of Competition especially took into account the fact that the concentration shall not lead to significant changes on the relevant market.

- Decision upon the notification on intended concentration between the undertakings „ASA FINANCE“ d.d. Sarajevo and „prevent INVEST“.

Analyzing the relevant data, in terms of Article 17 of the Competition Act, Council of Competition determined that intended concentration shall not lead to increase of market participation, since the participants to the concentration do not operate on the relevant market of universal banking. Therefore, Council of Competition assessed the concentration of the undertakings compatible.

- Conclusion on initiation of proceedings upon the Request of the undertaking Radiotelevizija Bosne i Hercegovine Sarajevo, against the undertakings Radiotelevizija Federacije Bosne i Hercegovine, Sarajevo, Pink BH Company d.o.o., Bijeljina, Mreža Plus d.o.o., Sarajevo, OBN d.d., Sarajevo and Hayat TV Sarajevo.

Based on the submitted documentation, Council of Competition concluded that it was not possible to determine the violation of the Competition Act stated in the Request, without the prior proceedings. Therefore, Council of Competition decided to initiate the proceedings, according to the Competition Act and bylaws regulating market competition and other relevant regulations.
