30th session of the Council of Competition - press release

SARAJEVO, June, 21st, 2006. - On its 30th session, the Council of Competition has addopted a Conclusion on initiation of the assessment procedure of the concentration existance between the Intesa Holding International S.A., 19-21 Bld du Prince Henri, Luxemburg and UPI Bank d.d., Obala Kulina bana 9a, Sarajevo. It`s about the conducted concentrtion which has not been notofied by its parties.

Also, the Council of Competition has adoppted a Conclusion on initiation of the assessment procedure on the concentration existance between LHB Bank a.d., Milana Tepića 4, Banja Luka, and Development Bank of the Southeast Europe, Kralja Petra I Karađorđevića 85a, Banja Luka. The Council of Competition will execute detailed legal and economic analysis and pass appropriate decision in respect to the issues considered.

Having analyzed the data of the request submitted by the "Flor"d.o.o. Čelinac-Babić, the undertaking registered for carrying out the production of the funeral equipment and funeral services, the Council of Competition has adopted a Brief on initiation of the assessment procedure in order to determine whether the dominant position is abused by the City Assembly of Banja Luka. Namely, the Decision issued on 04th March 2005, by the City Assembly of Banja Luka privileged ODKJP "Gradsko Groblje", Sime Matavulja 8, to perform the funeral services in the area of the Banja Luka town. The Council of Competition will determine weather the market competition is prevented, restricted and distorted by this Decision of the City Assembly of Banja Luka.
