CONCLUSIONS OF THE 72nd SESSION OF THE COUNCIL OF COMPETITION

SARAJEVO, 18 September 2008 - Upon request of the M.R.M. export-import d.o.o. za trgovinu, marketing i usluge (a company for trade and marketing and services activities) Ljubuški, the Council of Competition adopted a Resolution authorizing an initiation of the proceedings for establishing whether ASA-Auto d.o.o. Sarajevo abused a dominant position. Namely, M.R.M. stated in its request that ASA-Auto d.o.o. Sarajevo, by giving up the conclusion of  Agreement for the sale and servicing Volkswagen cars violated a stipulations of the Act on competition, and  by applying different conditions for the same or similar activities  restricted manufacture , market or technical development, made  damage for customers and put the applicant in unequal  and unfavorable position in comparison to competitors. The Council of Competition will determine whether market competition is prevented, restricted or distorted by these activities.
